Election 2020 Lecture

On Tuesday, October 2020, the KI Lifelong Education Committee partnered with the Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley and Congregation Brith Shalom of Bethlehem to co-sponsor an online zoom talk entitled Election 2020 What to Expect from the 2020 Pandemic Election.  Dr. Chris Borick, director of the Muhlenberg College Institute of public opinion and frequent contributor to the Morning Call was the primary speaker; Professor Gordon Goldberg of Kutztown University introduced the speaker and provided context.  Rabbi Seth and Rabbi Singer each offered a blessing.

This was a return engagement for Professor Borick who had spoken at KI 4 years ago prior to the 2016 election.   This year, Borick discussed swing states, polling, race, and Pennsylvania, among other topics.   The focus was analysis, not advocacy, and the purpose was to educate.  All speakers strongly encouraged participants to vote.   An estimated 70 participants attended the event.
